Sical signs a contract with CONTENEMAR to produce 160 containers “Jaula”
This container is designed to transport all type of loads for the insular market
and have a tare weight of 2.550. Kgs. and a payload of 30.450. Kgs.

Barcelona, July 25th 2006.- Sical,an specialized company in designing and manufacturing transport vehicles, has reached an agreement with CONTENEMAR, a Spanish company dedicated to the sea and land transport, to produce 160 sea containers (Cage container type). The 20’ highcube container has dismountable side bars to make easier the the loading and unloading operations. The 2.500. mm. loading side height improves the cargo volume. Mr. Mariano González, Sical Commercial Director, thinks that “ this contract is an strong impulse for our company as this agreement allow us to continue collaborating with one of the main companies in this specific traffic sector .The excellent experience in previous collaborations will represent an important success at present and in future projects”.

Sical launches a new intermodal central and rear extending chassis

Barcelona, July 27th 2006.- Sical, has launched a new intermodal highcube central and rear extending chassis. This platform has 12 twistlocks and allows 6 different cargo possibilities, similar to the 45’ or 40’ containers with or without tunnel. The platform has a tare weight between 5.400.kgs. and 5.600.kgs. depending on the option chosen, a SA 2,5 shootblasting, primer and polyuretane finishing. The new platform also has avalaible pneumatic suspension, disk or drum brakes, pneumatic blocking system of the spreadings, two speed reinforced landing legs, and mudflaps. Sical Commercial Director Mariano González thinks that “this new product is specially designed for all the road hauliers carrying sea containers of different capacities by road and will facilitate the job of, not only the small autonomous drivers but  the  rest of road  transport companies”.
